Irish Paper 1 with Aoibhínn
This past week has been a whirlwind as I began my Junior Cert exams on Wednesday. As the week comes to an end I look back on all my exams that I have taken so far.
I began my exams on Wednesday with my Higher level English paper. I was so happy when I opened the paper and began to read the questions as I realised it was easier than I expected. The unseen Shakespeare through me and a lot of people off guard as we weren’t really expecting a question like that. I loved doing the review on a movie and was overall happy with the paper this year.
On Thursday I had Higher level Irish. I was pretty happy with the listening as it was easier than I expected. In my opinion the comprehension was the easiest on the paper. The blog caught me off as I was expecting different topics to come up but I think I did okay. The literature was good but I as disappointed that a poem didn’t come up as I had a lot prepared on it.
This Friday I finished the week with History and Higher Maths. I was really stressed about History but it turns out to have went fairly well. I am happy that the renaissance and the Age of Exploration came up as I was prepared for it. Maths also came a surprise as it was so much easier than anticipated. I flew through the first few questions. The last questions I found pretty difficult.
Overall I am pretty happy about how my exams went. Sadly, I didn’t have enough time to finish my papers and always managed to run out of time. I think the exams should be 3 hours each and anyone who finishes early can leave, so people actually have enough time to think and answers questions.
I advise anyone doing their Junior Cert not to stress too much about it. As long as you put in the work you got it in the bag.
